Online Counselor in Colorado and Texas Jennifer L. Hillier

Hi, I’m Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor Jennifer L. Hillier, M.A., LPCS.

About Jennifer L. Hillier, M.A., LPC-S

I’m Jennifer L. Hillier, M.A., LPC-S, founder of Mending Hearts Counseling. I have over a decade of experience in helping adults heal from trauma, break free from painful relationship patterns, and rebuild a stronger, more grounded relationship with themselves. My work is especially focused on trauma recovery, narcissistic abuse recovery, intrusive thoughts, self-doubt, identity rebuilding, unresolved childhood trauma, boundaries, and the lasting impact of relationships or systems that taught you to abandon yourself.

My Approach

Therapy with me is collaborative, trauma-informed, and deeply compassionate—but also honest and intentional. I believe real healing happens when you feel safe enough to tell the truth about what hurts, what confuses you, and what keeps repeating in your life.

Together, we look beyond surface symptoms and explore the deeper roots of what you’re struggling with—whether that’s trauma, attachment wounds, shame, people-pleasing, perfectionism, unhealthy beliefs, or survival patterns that once protected you but no longer serve you.

My goal is to help you:

  • Help you understand why you think, feel, and respond the way you do

  • Learn how to quiet the inner critic and reduce overthinking, intrusive thoughts, and anxiety.

  • Teach you how to identify trauma responses, attachment patterns, and relational wounds.

  • Develop and rebuild self-trust, boundaries, and emotional safety.

  • Heal from narcissistic abuse, toxic dynamics, and trauma bonds

  • Reconnect with your voice, your needs, and your authentic self

I want therapy to be a place where you don’t have to perform, minimize, or explain away your pain—a space where you can finally slow down, understand yourself more clearly, and begin creating lasting change.
